The photo series futurepasts began in May 2024 during a trip to Venice. In the Giardinni della Biennale garden, away from the lights of the exhibition, a series of late Renaissance anthropomorphic statues are scattered about the space, in a slow process of decomposition and integration with the natural environment. Turning the camera on them, I focus on their surface which grows and transforms, revealing a symbiotic environment of communication and interaction. In the common field that emerges the biotic and the abiotic meet and finally merge.
