I am an Athens and Pelion-based visual artist, researcher and initiator. My practice explores environmental interconnectedness, the symbiosis of technological and traditional tools and the creation of symbolic systems, codes and alphabets. My current research investigates the intersections of contemporary art, traditional craftsmanship and communal rituals in a post-colonial perspective.
I was born in Volos, Greece. Following my graduation from the department of Greek Literature in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, I moved to Paris where she studied Linguistics (Paris VIII) and Anthropology at the Sorbonne (Paris V), conducting fieldwork research on the relation between language and identity of immigrant students. After returning to Athens I have worked as copy editor for Nissos Academic Publishing and for the Greek Language Center (KEG) (2009-2015). In 2019 I graduated from the School of Fine Arts of Athens.
In 2020 I co-founded ististist.project a multidisciplinary artistic platform, focusing on the interaction of art and education and the correlation between artistic creation, research and knowledge.
